History
Time is not mistaken, when the chances of destiny play their magic, this explains the forgetfulness and the birth of the DIVINO 1984 vintage mezcal. It was in 1984, when a shipment of Espadín mezcal, distilled with Agave angustifolia Haw, arrived at the Liquors Veracruz company. The aroma that the mezcal gave off when it was poured was so pleasant that the young José Villanueva Barragán asked his parents, Mr. José Villanueva Arteaga and Mrs. Celia Barragán Espinoza, to keep a part of this extraordinary spirit to mature it. Thus, 17 barrels with approximately 3,000 liters of mezcal were protected. The twists of fate led these old barrels to be quietly confined in the most protected part of the aging section of the factory. Forgotten for many years, the protagonists meet again, author and work. José Villanueva Barragán, a mezcalero by family tradition, rediscovers the cargo he treasured. Thirty years later, of the 17 original barrels, only 5 could be rescued to reveal to the world an extraordinary mezcal and definitely out of the ordinary.

This important expansion is the work of Licores Veracruz, a Mexican company with more than 65 years of experience that offers the best tequilas, mezcales, rums and liqueurs to 29 countries, from Córdoba Veracruz.
Bottle signed, numbered and dated by hand, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. Protected inside an elegant case made individually by hand.

Vista presents a beautiful, deep copper color with golden sparkles, typical of a distillate that has been stored for many years in European oak. Very bright and with magnificent transparency.
The nose immediately highlights a concert of complex aromas with herbal, smoky and sweet notes reminiscent of agave, as well as walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts and a delicious touch of fine barrels that contribute to making the aroma more complex and delicious. On the
palate confirms what was discovered on the nose, its attack is balanced, highlighting a certain pleasant acidity that manifests a perfect balance between the classic flavor of mezcal and the character that only time in the barrel can give it.
