Tequila

Tequila is an original distilled licor of Mexico and there can be found amber and colorless varieties. It is elaborated with the extracted juice of the agave, particularly the blue agave (Agave tequilana), with denomination of origin in five states of the Mexican Republic. It is perhaps the most well-known and representative drink of this country in the world.

In order to be called tequila it must be elaborated in Mexico and certified by the Regulating Council of Tequila (CRT).

The name tequila is a controlled denomination of origin, recognized internationally, which is designated to the distillates of agave elaborated in determined regions of Mexico.
